About P&M Composites

Engineers first. Consultants by trade.

We're a small, hands-on team building the composite consultancy we always wished existed on our own programmes — one that speaks fluent design and fluent factory floor.

Our Story

Built to close the gap between design intent and the shop floor.

P&M Composites LLP was founded by engineers who had spent years on both sides of the composite tooling problem — designing laminates that looked perfect on screen, then standing on a factory floor watching them fail to cure, release or assemble as intended.

We started this consultancy to be the partner we wished we’d had: engineers who understand manufacturing constraints before a surface is ever modelled, and who stay accountable through first article and beyond.

Today we work as an embedded extension of our clients’ teams — across wind energy, aerospace, automotive, marine, rail and industrial programmes — bringing the same discipline to every laminate, every tool, every component.

Our Approach

How a typical engagement runs.

01. Discover

Understand the component, loads, materials and production intent.

02. Design

Laminate schedule, tooling concept and DFM review.

03. Validate

Simulation, material qualification and trial planning.

04. Build

Tooling fabrication strategy and process set-up support.

05. Scale

Quality planning and production ramp-up support.

Leadership

A founder-led engineering team.

P&M Composites is led directly by its founding engineers — every programme has a principal engineer accountable from first call to final part.
